Join us for a virtual roundtable focused on advancing reuse and circularity in Arizona’s beer and wine industry. This session will feature a presentation from Adam Rack of Revino, a pioneer in reusable glass packaging systems, helping beverage producers eliminate single-use bottles. Adam will share lessons from Revino’s Oregon-based refillable bottle program and insights on scaling reuse models within the beverage sector.
Following the presentation, Arizona State Senator Lauren Kuby will host an open roundtable discussion with industry members to hear their perspectives, challenges, and ideas. This is an opportunity for brewers, winemakers, and other stakeholders to share their experiences and help shape informed, practical policy that supports circular solutions in Arizona.
This roundtable is hosted by Arizona State Senator Lauren Kuby, Circular Arizona, and Local First Arizona. Register at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/PFtyV3gpTBaMrBmC11WQLg#/registration.
Meet the Speakers
Adam Rack, Co-Founder & COO at Revino, has a lifelong interest in reuse and sustainable food systems. He has called Oregon home since moving there with his partner and two dogs shortly after graduating from Kansas State University. Adam entered the beverage industry as Assistant Winemaker and Operations Manager at Coopers Hall, consulting on keg systems and wine programs for clients ranging from small restaurants to large venues like the Oregon Convention Center. His hands-on operational work, including leading Coopers Hall’s expansion into reusable 500 mL bottles, helped prevent the use of over one million single-use bottles.
Beyond operations, Adam engages in policy work and community service. He serves on the PR3 Reusable Packaging System Standards Panel, helping envision interoperable reuse systems at scale across the country, and volunteers as a team leader with his local Community Emergency Response Team. In his free time, he enjoys baking, hosting friends, and guerrilla gardening by spreading native plant seeds on runs in his hometown.
Lauren Kuby has dedicated her career to advancing climate action, social equity, and community well-being in Arizona. She served on the Tempe City Council from 2014 to 2022, where she championed initiatives promoting renewable energy, affordable housing, and environmental protection.
Kuby holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and a master’s in public history from Arizona State University. Though she retired from ASU in 2023, she continues to serve as a Global Futures Scientist and is a proud member of United Campus Workers.
Elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2024, Kuby brings her local government experience and sustainability expertise to the legislature, advocating for policies that address climate change, protect workers, and strengthen public education from early childhood through higher education.
A Tempe resident for more than 36 years, Kuby lives with her husband, Mike, a retired ASU transportation geographer. She is the proud mother of two daughters and a new grandmother—motivated by the belief that the choices we make today must protect the future for generations to come.
