Circular Arizona hosts Southern Connection event in Tucson

Tucson, Arizona — On Wednesday, Nov. 6, Circular Arizona hosted its Southern Connection event at the City of Tucson Resource Campus, featuring a delicious vegan lunch, three circularity speakers, and networking.

Jose Garcia and Lisa Rotello shared the spotlight to discuss food waste prevention and diversion via the City of Tucson’s FoodCycle at Home program and the Los Reales Composting Facility. Cristina Polsgrove then highlighted the City’s growing Zero Waste drive-through events and public-private partnerships that drive waste diversion in the local community.

Dozens of attendees asked engaging questions and networked to build bridges of circularity in Southern Arizona and beyond.

Circular Arizona is proud to host regional events in an effort to connect members and other circular economy professionals as part of its mission to “foster an equitable circular economy and connect Arizonans through innovation, education, and collaboration.”
