Attendees enjoyed a delicious local lunch while listening to a keynote speaker by J.B. Shaw, the Recycling Coordinator for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ). J.B. provided insightful information about ADEQ's recycling grant winners, the selection process, and potential future opportunities for funding and support.

Following the presentation, Damien Zachman, Circular Arizona board member and the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside's Collection Center Supervisor, led participants on an engaging tour of the nearby Collection Center. The tour provided a practical glimpse into the region's innovative hub-and-spoke recycling system, a case study on successful, circular solutions for other rural Arizona communities.
